Financial restructuring eliminates $3.1 billion of total debt, significantly strengthening financial foundation<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IRVING, Texas, September 3, 2026 \u2014 Alkegen (the \u201cCompany\u201d), a leading specialty materials manufacturer, today announced that the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas (the \u201cCourt\u201d) has confirmed its Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization (the \u201cPlan\u201d), marking a significant milestone toward completion of the Company\u2019s restructuring. The Plan is supported by a supermajority of the Company\u2019s key financial partners and reflects the Restructuring Support Agreement (the \u201cRSA\u201d) that Alkegen announced<\/a> in July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The approved Plan will eliminate $3.1 billion of Alkegen\u2019s total debt and allow the Company to emerge with ample liquidity to support its continued operations. Upon emergence, Alkegen will be under the ownership of a group of leading institutional investors who support the Company\u2019s go-forward strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alkegen will continue operating in the ordinary course of business and expects to emerge from the chapter 11 process later this fall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
