FyreWrap DPS
FyreWrap DPS is an innovative dryer protection system that provides a safe and cost-effective solution to comply with building code requirements for one hour fire resistance rated enclosure required in many multi-residential projects.
FyreWrap Elite 1.5
FyreWrap Elite 1.5 duct insulation is a single layer flexible duct wrap enclosure for 1- and 2-hour fire-rated air distribution systems (ADS ducts). Our Elite line of products include smoke control, hazardous exhaust, laboratory chemical fume, stairwell and vestibule pressurization, ventilation, supply/return ducts, commercial dryer exhaust, as well as refuse and linen chutes. Our FyreWrap Elite can be also used as a two-layer system for protecting commercial kitchen grease ducts.
FyreWrap Marine
Alkegen manufactures a wide range of high temperature insulating materials especially suited for use in marine and offshore passive fire protection installations. Our FyreWrap Marine blankets provide lightweight and space saving fire insulation for structures exposed to both cellulosic and hydrocarbon fires on cruise ships, yachts, high-speed ferries, military defense vessels and offshore platforms. Systems are tested in accordance with IMO FTP Code Res. MSC-307(88) – (2010 FTP Code) and are in compliance with MED and U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
FyreWrap Cable
Alkegen’s FyreWrap Cable Insulation is a thin, flexible, insulation wrap designed to provide a fire-protective enclosure around cable trays and conduit. Our FyreWrap system ensures electrical circuit integrity during exposure to an external hydrocarbon fire, permitting continued operation or controlled shutdown of critical equipment during emergency conditions. This system is FM Global Approved and meets ASTM E-1725 “Fire Tests of Fire-Resistive Barrier Systems for Electrical System Components,” the newest industry standard, requiring the highest level of performance for trays with zero to full cable loading. The system also meets ASTM E-1529 and provides circuit integrity ratings.
FyreWrap Plenum Insulation
FyreWrap Plenum Insulation is a high-temperature insulation material specifically designed to provide a single layer, flexible enclosure around combustible items located within fire-rated return air plenums. New construction, building renovations or modifications to the electrical and mechanical systems may result in the installation of plastic pipe or plastic-coated cables that cannot meet the minimum combustibility requirements defined in the Mechanical Code. Our FyreWrap Plenum provides fire protection for these installed items by preventing flame propagation and smoke development in the plenum area.
